Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 17, 2015

At Survature, the privacy of your personal information is very important to us.

We will not share any personally identifiable information with third parties. We reserve the right to share anonymized information in the aggregate for product development and big data analysis, including but not limited to building benchmarks.

This privacy policy describes your rights regarding our collection, use, protection, retention, and sharing of your personal and non-personal information. In this policy, we describe the information we collect and how we use it.

  1. The information we collect

When you register for an account with survature.com, we collect basic account information such as your name and email address. If you decide to upgrade to a paid account, then we will collect information related to payment. Your contact and payment information are personal information that we will not share with third parties.

    1. Third party analytic tools

We may use tools and third party analytic software to help us understand how visitors and users use our website and to improve our services. For example, our website uses Google Analytics to help us understand statistical information about the use of our website and to improve our products and services. We also use Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting to help us understand the demographics of the visitors to our site. You recognize and understand that the analytics companies used by Survature may combine the information collected with other information they have independently collected from other services or products relating to your activities. These companies collect and use information under their own privacy policies to which we have no control over.

If you want to opt-out of Google Analytics, please visit the Google Analytics Opt-Out.

    2. Log files

As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in the log files includes your internet protocol address (IP address), your internet service provider (ISP) (such as Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, etc.), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site, how you landed on our website, and which pages you visited throughout our site.

    3. Cookies, pixels, and web beacons

We use cookies and pixels to store information, such as your preferences when you visit our site. We use these cookies to identify the account, provide user customization, and to enhance user experience. This may include showing you a popup window when you visit the website, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums.

We do not share our cookies with third parties.

We may use third party cookies in our website. Our use of third party cookies is not governed by this privacy policy because we do not have control over them. We also may use third party advertisements on Survature.com to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.

    4. Clear gifs

In our survey campaigns using emails, we will use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to determine the effectiveness of our tools, services, and email campaigns. We use this information to improve our product and services.

  2. How we use this information

Regarding your contact information, which we DO NOT share with third parties, we use your email address to inform you about your account with Survature and Survature’s products and services, updates, and other useful information about us. You may opt out of receiving any of the marketing communications and newsletters. We will send you service-related communications such as maintenance schedules, billing, account information, account upgrades, account cancellations, and other types of communications about your account.

We may contact you and seek your consent if we need to use your information for any reasons other than contacting you about your account and marketing purposes. We will seek your consent if we need to use your information to diagnose technical problems and to improve the quality and types of services. We reserve the right to use and share non-identifiable and aggregated usage and statistical information.

  3. Government and law enforcement agencies

If we believe in good faith that we need to disclose your personal information to respond to verified requests by government agencies, law enforcement agencies, courts, and other legitimate authorities, such information will be disclosed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  4. Data collected from your surveys

If you have a paid account, any data collected from your surveys belong to you and we will not share it with third parties. If you have a free account, we reserve the right to share any non-personally identifiable and aggregated information to third parties.

  5. Online help, chats, and forums

If you report a bug or have questions about the product and you use any of the public forums, you are consenting to making this information available to the public.

  6. Contact us

We may amend this privacy policy at any time by posting the amended terms on this site. All amended terms automatically take effect thirty (30) days after they are initially posted on the site.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about your personal and non-personal information or your use of Survature.com, please contact us at support@survature.com.
